Certified International Property Specialist Courses

“CIPS” CERTIFICATION COURSE

CERTIFIED INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY SPECIALIST

For the first time in Spanish, in Costa Rica this course will be given, the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th of September of 2011.

Thid course is offered financed for a period of 12 months without interest from CREDIX,  who is aligned with CCCBR.  If you are interested, the 25th August is the date to sign for those interested in financing the course.

The Cost of the Course : (includes 2 coffee breaks and lunch each day)

  • Member:$500
  • Non-Member:$750
  • Only one module: $125
  • In order to obtain the official certificate one must transfer to the CIPS Institute $220 for annual membership.

Module 2: The Americas and Interational Real Estate
Module 3: Asia/Pacific and International Real Estate
Module 4: Real Estate Business in The US
Module 5: The Business of Real Estate in Central America and the Caribbean

1. "International Real Estate for local markets" (before known as Essentials) is a previous requirement necessary to take the other courses.
2.Three one day regional courses (select three of the four)  and one financial analysis course are necessary to take in any order:
Europe and International Real Estate Professionals
Asia / Pacific  and International Real Estate Professionals
Real Estate in the Americas and Real International
Middle Eastern and African International Real Estate
Investment and Financial Analysis of International Real Estate (two days/HP-10BII  calculator needed)
3. A multiple choice exam at the end of each course. 70% or more is needed to pass.

WHAT IS A CERTIFIED SPECIALIST ON AN INTERNATIONAL LEVEL IN ADMINISTRATION OF PROPERTIES?

A Certified Specialist of International Administration of Properties (CIPS) is a professional that has demonstrated his/her experience in the practice of international real estate and have completed the CIPS program requirements.


The topics presented in the CIPS courses include cultural diversity, market data, investment tendencies, marketing strategies, generation of capital, and financing.


The designation of CIPS each day is more and more important in the international community and for business organizations - including Chambers of Commerce, Administrative Counsel of REALTORS ® - as the most reliable sources in international business.


Requierments

Complete the CIPS course "International Real Estate for Local Markets"

Present the attached form and payment of annual membership fees of $ 220

After finishing the five courses and approval of the designation form, CIPS,  in order to have the right to use the denomination by means of paying the annual fee of $ 220.

INSTRUCTOR OF THE NAR
The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), is Mr. Carlos Fuentes.

Carlos A. Fuentes has been active in commercial and international real estate during the last 25 years, has obtained various certifications such as CCIM (Commercial Specialist), CIPS (International Specialist) y TRC (Transnational Referrals).  His experience includes the aquisition and development of land, properties for offices, commercial centers, industry, and residential condominium investment, vacation residences in the Caribbean, Central America, South American and the US, negotiations of contracts, financing, market analysis, and investment in areas where there he has been an impressive history.

Mr. Fuentes has published many articles in distinctive national and international magazines and has participated as a speaker in diverse regional seminars and panels. He forms part of a group of NAR presenters on international topics as a certified instructor of NAR for CIPS courses and for the TRC Certification about international client exchange; also he has served as a Certified interpreter for the Federal Courts in the USA.

Currently he is in the Executive Commitee of NAR for Global and Group for Vacation Properties; Regional Coordinator of the NAR for North American, Central America and the Caribbean; Director of the NAR and Florida Realtors; he was the President of My Florida Regional MLS (with over 34,000 users) and the  Greater Tampa Association of Realtors.  Mr. Fuentes received many national recognition from NAR: 2003 International Outreach Effort Award and 2006 NAR President’s Liaison Award. GTAR gave him in  2008 the Deal of the Year Award, in recognition of the most difficult and peculiar transaction and in 2009 Realtor of the Year.  He is an active member of the diverse professional associations.

Limited Space: To reserve make a bank deposit for the indicated amount in the name of the Cámara Costarricense de Corredores de Bienes Raíces . The receipt for this deposit must be sent to the Cámara by fax . The Confirmation Receipt will be accredited to your registration. Also, you can do this in our offices directly (Credit Cards are accepted ). If the deposit or payment is with a check the inscription will be subject to be cahed at its mother bank; therefore, the deposit must be made with sufficient anticipation.

NOTE: Any monies paid or the inscription in the courses are non returnable, non refundable, in case that the participant cannot participate in the course, however, the participant can take the course without paying an additional amount in the following twelve months by making payment.
